In 2019, the Archiv Frau und Musik realised another digitisation project within the framework of the DDF (Digitales Deutsches Frauenarchiv) portal. Under the title #MASCHA: Music Actors Create Attention, interviews were conducted with important representatives of women’s music movements (since the 1970s). Topics which appeared in the interviews were questions about networks, and professional opportunities for women in the music business. The interviews are a lively audio-visual contribution to the DDF portal. An accompanying essay presents the women’s music movements in West and East Germany.
All DDF projects are intended to improve the searchability and visibility of materials from the Archiv Frau und Musik as well as to create interest in engaging with the archive’s materials.
