Composer in Residence 2024 – Composer Macarena Rosmanich comes to Frankfurt!
We are delighted to welcome our new scholarship holder Macarena Rosmanich. Born in Chile in 1981, the composer studied at the Universidad de Chile, the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf and the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. She lives in Cologne. She says of her works that she is open to both traditions and new influences, which she allows to influence her and develop into stylistically independent works.
Macarena Rosmanich is composing a new work during her stay in Frankfurt, which she will rehearse together with students from the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) and present as part of a portrait concert on December 6, 2024.
In cooperation with the Institute for Contemporary Music (IzM) of the HfMDK, the Archiv Frau und Musik has announced the sixth working scholarship for female composers, which stands for equal opportunities for female composers in particular.
