our holdings

The Archiv Frau und Musik, with approximately 30,000 media units by and about 2,000 women composers and conductors,
is the largest and most important archive of its kind in the world. The collection includes sheet music,
sound recordings, literature, and gray literature on women composers and musicians from the 9th to the 21st century
in the field of classical music, as well as rock, pop, and jazz.
A main focus is on original scores and letters from the 18th to the 21st century,
as well as bequests of women composers.
